Avrodh Web Series Review – An almost retold story that cements Amit Sadh’s position as a brilliant actor.

Avrodh Web Series story leaves no choice but to resort to the backdrop of the National Award-winning movie—Uri The Surgical Strike. In Uri, the plans of action were talked about with a lot of emotion invested in them. This is because, the life of a family member costs a lot, more so for the soldiers of the army. Personal revenge and patriotic objective—all gather up and like a fountain. The film delineates a picturesque presentation of the strikes.

Avrodh Web Series has a similar objective. But the primary difference with the execution of the film is the lack of emotional manifestation. The primary focal point in this film is the vivid description of the plans that the Indian Government had to employ to carry out the surgical strikes successfully along the Line of Control (LoC) launchpads.

When the 19 unarmed soldiers were brutally killed at an army base camp in Uri, not only did the army retaliate but the entire Government framed flawless strategies and executed the surgical strikes with perfection. When it comes to the Government, people are tired of hearing so much about meetings. But Avrodh the Siege Within Sony Liv gives the audience an insight into the meetings behind closed doors.

Avrodh The Siege Within is a delectable approach of portraying the brisk picture of the army life, especially in the belt of Kashmir.

The script of Avrodh The Siege Within somewhere plays the role of a supporting cast or even background artists in cases. This is not because the script is poorly written, rather the script of Avrodh is a well-balanced presentation of dialogues and actions. The primary reason behind the dormancy of the script here is the focus on expressions and actions. However, the script contains the diction and flavor of the army. It is a well-researched product that gives a poignant angle to Avrodh: The Siege Within.

Amit Sadh’s performance breaks all barriers of monotony that his earlier roles perhaps could not reach. His dialogue is as good as his expressive eyes and facial reactions. Madhurima Tuli did a great job as well. A journalist going to interview a militant—the role could have been played no better perhaps. Anil George does a fantastic job as Abu Hafiz by picking up the right diction with the best expressions that substantiated his character. But the one who really won hearts just by melting completely and getting molded into the character is Neeraj Kabi. His work in the series is so good, his performance is so neat and clean that it is hard to believe that the same person enacted different kinds of roles in The Family Man and Paatal Lok.

Nirmal Pandya is an eminent name in the music industry. His work in Avrodh is equally appreciable. Films and series soaked in thrill and action depend a lot on good music and background scores. Nirmal Pandya served the purpose very well.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

With Shanu Singh Rajput as the DOP, the cinematography of Avrodh: The Siege Within was completely bewitching. From scenic beauty to the work of the night scenes when the strikes were executed, visuals were at their best. Satya Sharma’s eclectic work as the editor of Avrodh also coupled well with the cinematography.

Although Avrodh The Siege Within is not a tale of emotions straight from the heart, it is a product of a cumulative cloud of emotions, duties, responsibilities, and above all the feeling that we should never let our goodness become our weakness. Through the character of Shailesh, the director Raj Acharya very well portrays how to retaliate and take a step when the opponents are blatantly ruthless and not up for any fair play. With necessary attention to the details, Avrodh had anything it could have from the director.
