Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 Review – A grave disappointment, especially as a sequel

The story of Who’s Your Daddy: Season 2 web series holds a plot with an absolute feeble connection to reality. It is often said that truth is stranger than fiction. But in this case, fiction is not only stranger, but also extremely awful than truth. The story begins with introducing the character of Shoosha. Shoosha is a college goer, who has been raised in an orphanage. He gathers his daily expenses by delivering pizza. In addition to this part time work, Shoosha also works as a masseur in a spa. Although brought up in an orphanage, it would be wrong to call Shoosha as a complete orphan. Shoosha knew his mother, and had heard that his biological father abandoned his mom, along with him. From the time he came to know of this bitter truth, he was in search of his dad.

During his college hours, Shoosha meets a girl named Sukoon. And of course, they fall in love in no time. But one day, Shoosha gets to see Sukoon’s dad, Mohak. He immediately recognizes Mohak because he had seen Mohak’s photograph with his mother. Shoosha immediately deduces that Mohak has a high possibility of being his biological father. Eventually, a DNA test is conducted and it is revealed that Mohak is the biological father of Shoosha. The story takes its pace and investigates whether Shoosha is truly the son of Mohak, or whether the test report has been tampered.

Whos Your Daddy 2 Trailer

Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 is a story with not-so-predictable structure. But due to poor planning and hence execution, the series falls apart.

Script

The script of Who’s Your Daddy: Season 2 is similar to the plot—pointless and unsubstantial. Comedy requires a sharp script. These days to the extent dialogue framing have shot up, Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 could have done a much better job in terms of script writing. But unfortunately, some common phrases and artificial diction play the lead role in the script.

Acting

Rahul Dev will surely get a thumbs up for the perfect portrayal of Soggy’s father, Prem Singh Barnala. Harsh Beniwal proved to be a perfect match for Soggy. His presentation, as compared to the prequel, gained the touch of control or measurement to be very specific. Sameeksha did an excellent job in portraying Sukoon. Her movements and dialogue delivery suited aptly. Being newcomers, both Sameeksha and Bhavin did a good job. But if someone made a real difference to the blandness of the series, then tat’s the duo of Vidya Malavade and Mamik Singh.

Music

Music perhaps did not have a role to play at all in Who’s Your Daddy Season 2. Only some known background sound effects were there in the name of music. Other than that, absolutely no attention was paid to the music department.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

In an aura where gang wars are shown with such good angles of camera, Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 falls flat with least attention paid to cinematography. The series had the scope of a good work of camera but there was no use of that scope. Editing demanded sharpness of a higher degree. It doesn’t really require 11 episodes to portray what the plot of Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 had in its bag.

Direction: As far as the directional aspect of Who’s Your Daddy: Season 2 is concerned; Chirag Arora could have done much better job. Not only the episodes, even the scenes inside the same episodes had disconnects between them. There has been no explanation of the scenes, even not casually. Overall, the series lacked planning and attention to detail.
