Middle class melodies review- A classy family Comedy drama ,told with love.

“Middle class melodies” can be categorised as an A class family movie; which has come as a fresh air. It can be seen together with a family and can be enjoyed to the hilt.

Raghava aka Ananda Devarakonda is son of Lakshmi aka Surabhi Prabhavati and Kondala Rao aka Goparaju Ramana. They live in a small town Kolakarlu, which is 20km away from the Guntur.

They own a small hotel. Raghava learnt “Bombay chutney” from his mother and has mastered the art well. He feels his cooking talent is more for just a small hotel business, he aspires to move to a big city like Guntur and make a mark for himself.

The journey of Raghava, where he belongs ,what is his ambition, his fears, hurdles in life, and everything associated with his life; right from family to friends, together is the beautiful story of middle class memories.

Raghava is apt for the role as a middle class guy who has an ambition with lot of confusion. He has fear of failure & a nagging father with high temper (but the temper is justified because he cares for his son and protective about him-very well depicted emotion by Kondala Rao) raghava has to the cover this hurdle distance to reach his goal, Kondala Rao has been an exemplary artist and suits the role to the “T”. His loud and Angry mood is what makes him prominent in the movie, he has portrayed an emotional drama& comedy part for this movie, another highlight for the whole movie is his dialogues between him and his wife, and not to forget the prime conversations between father and son, absolutely amazing written roles for all three, lifts the narration for the film.konadala rao’s role is nothing less than an eye-opener.

Raghava’s dream is finally understood by his parents, and then the story marches towards his entry into the Big City. He is seen as a character with full of dreams, less courage, more love and financial stricken.

Sandhya is in love with raghava since ages, but hotel dream of raghava keeps Sandhya from revealing his love immediately, the movie reveals how the love blossoms between them, role of Sandhya is also very beautifully written especially about being a women how she thrives in the society also how she is torn between her father and raghava adds to the story of the film. Her role grows in the movie from coy to brave.

Gopal as raghav’s friend adds to the comedy and essence to the movie, he is obsessed with horoscopes, and so much that he is willing to leave his girlfriend Gautami whom he chose based on her date of her birth! Hilarious cameo by Tharun Bhasker is worth a watch and definitely a selling point too.

The movie does have flaws where one of them is the familiarity aspect, too much familiarity is seen throughout the film, but with familiarity comes the relatability aspect to movie, many characters from a family come together with emotions. The humour and anger are equally seen in movie which keeps the movie balanced.

Director has done a wonderful job, looking for more such entertaining movies from Vijay. Every character has ample to bring in their talent.

Cinematography, Music, Story

Cinematography by Sunny makes the movie look lively and reminisces us of our village memories. Background music is silent supporter to the movie, Sweekar and Vikram gave sweet music to this beautiful family film.Janardhan pasumarthi gave touching dialogues to the movie.

All in All it is a dramedy depicting the lives of family from middle class , about their hopes, dreams , wishes and struggles, another beautiful thing about this movie is how beautifully the characters,story have blended to give such an awesome movie, looks natural, effortless and cute.

It can be watched many times, alone with family, friends alike. It’s a 132 minutes long, very less to say anything not so good about this movie, must watch!
