Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives review: A canopy of prismatic friendship garbing the unnecessary burden of guilt. 

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives Netflix is more of a defence statement or advocacy in reply to the hot topic of today in Bollywood—nepotism. However, while nepotism in Bollywood is claimed to be facilitating the “star-kids” instead of real talent, the series talks a different tale. This series is a documentary that attempts at asserting the individuality of celebrity wives, who are not celebrated just because they are wives of bigshots in Bollywood. The primary idea of the series is to showcase that these days, spouses of different personalities from the B-town make a room all by themselves in the society.

Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives is a good documentary series to enjoy. But its purpose can be questioned in a very big way.

Script:

The script of Fabulous Lives doesn’t really invest a lot of creativity and emphasis on the dialogue framing. However, documentaries require a better script as compared to projects of the other genres. This is because, narration forms the structure of a documentary. And in case if the narration falls week, the project is bound to go downhill.

Performance:

As far as the performance of the series is concerned, this docuseries is quite good concept to deal with with performances worth of appreciation. But then, execution falls apart.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing:

Good cinematography is not about taking the best angles in great locations. It is also about making an ordinary location look special and beautiful, especially in a web series like this. In a world where gangster films and web series are shot so well, a much better performance was expected from Nikhil Tandon as the director of photography of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. But Mamlesh Tiwari did a fairly good job as the editor of the series.

Direction:

Uttam Domale could have been a lot better as the director of Fabulous Lives. He visualized everything from the defence perspective. But little did her realise that there is no need of getting rid of the guilt as there is no reason for feeling guilty at all. However, his attention to minute details actually makes Fabulous Wives of Bollywood a series worth watching, at least for once.
