The web series is about a show on television which is hungry for TRP. Incidentally the show parodies controversial Tamil show Solvathellam Unmai, where common man discusses their intimate family matters.
Retelling the paranormal stories is what the Jenny and team do as part of their work, and their show is named “Dark Tales”. As fate has set up something for them, they encounter another world, which is creepier and closer than they can ever think.
Dark tales is meanwhile facing a crisis, but the team is not going to leave it without a fight. While all this is happening, Jenny comes across as a secret from Sekhar’s life, which is the beginning of the story.
Dark tales is axed from the channel, she tells about a new idea, the team settles on the idea of setting up the story in a haunted house in Yelagiri. The place is decided and then there is the entry of Shenbegam with her two children.
The show starts and the Shenbegam tells about her experiences in the house and jenny uses all the special animations and effects to keep the show on top and alive. While she does that nobody notices an extra person of the cast is not ordinary.
Something unimaginable happens on the show, while the whole world is watching it live! As the crew is struggling to escape the struggle and terror, something inside the house does not let them go.
Then follows the entry of ACP to rescue the team, but alas! Can’t do much. Finally, it is jenny who has to compromise to come out of this all drama.
The show comes to an end. The one who is responsible for this misery is shown finally. He has no intention of letting anyone go. In this crisis, sekhar is the only one who can rescue everyone.

Venkat prabhu direction clearly lacks creativity required for the film. The idea inspired for making this web series are age old, they cannot be related to the current gen, for example the ACP murdering three men in cold blooded way for raping a teenage girl.
Characters are not very well etched, lacks depth and emotional connect.
Writing lacks the seriousness and discipline required to develop a web series with decent drama for horror flicks.
The film looks like an extended version of kanchana in several ways and looks he had same idea but broken into seven pieces.
The audience is left in a confused way throughout the series nothing connects in an easy and sensible way.
Empathy for the characters stuck in the house is the only highlight for this series.
All in all kaajal agarwal’s Live telecast is definitely a bad entry in horror genre and is nothing much to talk about.
Verdict
It Can be watched once, it’s a short series.
