Love, Scandal & Doctors LSD Story is centred around KMRC, a private hospital best known for its well-trained doctors and excellent treatment. Dr. Rana is the Dean of the hospital with his daughter Dr. Chitra as the Chief Residential Doctor of the hospital.

A group of 5 interns join—Karthik, Vikramjeet, Raheema, Saara and Kabir. Saara is known for her rude attitude and hatred towards the privileged one, and hence she had made her enemies on the very first day—Karthik, for Karthik was the son of Dr. Rana. Although Karthik was capable enough, Saara’s perception made her believe that he was there just because his father was the Dean of the hospital.

Karthik and Vikramjeet were best friends since childhood, and the latter had a secret crush on Chitra, Karthik’s elder sister. Kabir had a cross-sexual orientation and was forced to behave like a man in fear of the society and most importantly, his father. Karthik and Saara, though hated each other initially, ended up falling in love. And then, there was a huge feud between Karthik and Vik, for Karthik got to assist Dr. Rana in the operation of a patient whose case in charge was Vik. Vik had a disturbed childhood with separated parents, and so did Saara. In the meantime, there was a twist. Raheema’s husband Asif abused her mentally and physically. He ended up abusing Raheema in a hospital party, where he got to know some secrets of each of the five interns.

A plan hit on Asif to play games—he got admitted to the hospital with lower abdominal pain and continued to blackmail each of the intern except Saara. He decided to draw Saara’s sympathy by saying that Raheema had no time for him. But eventually he is shocked to find out that Raheema has an affair with Dr. Samantha, Chitra’s childhood friend who also had a sexual encounter in the past with Dr. Rana. And he gets to blackmail Dr. Rana as well. When Asif tried to rape Raheema in the hospital one night, the other interns came to her rescue and eventually got him killed. They buried the corpse inside a jungle, but upon investigation, the body was found by the police. After post mortem, it was found that the cause of death was the overdose of a drug of which these 5 interns had no clue. The story takes its pace and the killer’s name gets revealed in the end, but not identified.

LSD – Love, Scandal & Doctors is a good project both interms of the plot and the execution.

Script

LSD – Love, Scandal & Doctors had an eventful script. But what took the script to a different level was the pace. The pace was high from the beginning and the turn of event was excellent with perfect timing. Dialogues became the backbone of characterisation for LSD.

Acting

Siddharth Menon did an excellent job as Vik both on screen as well as in narration. His voice had the balanced blend of ups and downs even during narration. Ishaan complemented him well as Karthik and was a perfect choice for his character as well. After her magnificent performance in the iconic Disney+ Hotstar web series Special Ops, Tanaya Sachdeva was equally brilliant in LSD. Rahul Dev added the villainous composure that perfectly balanced the drama of the show.

Music

Keeping in mind the backdrop of the series as well as the primary theme of thrill, a good degree of attention has been paid to the music department. Background scores could have been no more thrilling and substantial. Shailesh Suvarna has indeed done a great job as the man behind music of LSD.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

LSD – Love, Scandal & Doctors web series could have got a better work of cinematography. The craft of camera projected by the directors of photography, Mohana Krishna and T. Surendra Reddy, could have been a little more introspective. Sumedh Jagtap did a good job as the editor.

Direction

Preya Hirji and Sattwik Mohanty, the director of LSD – Love, Scandal & Doctors not only had a great vision towards the project but also executed it in a very good way. The suspense behind the actual killer of Asif was there right from the beginning till the end, with the hand of the radar pointing to a different person after every episode. 15 episodes for a web-series is quite long, but for LSD, the length just did not matter. For all thriller lovers, LSD – Love, Scandal & Doctors is undoubtedly a must watch.
