Kaalidas Movie Review – A Gripping Suspense thriller.
Kaalidas Tamil Full Movie is a story about the mysterious killing of women, suspense being if they are suicidal, homicidal or accidental.

The film is about Kaalidas, who is investigating a death case, where the opening shot is about a women falling from terrace on the ground and death on the spot. Bharath comes with his team and concludes it as a suicide case. The death row , continues with this initial one, it’s when bharath takes it seriously to solve the death row. He also has a personal life where he is facing a strained relation with wife, Ann sheetal, who feels her husband does not spend enough time with her, the current situation just adds to her existing woes.
Later the movie has an additional character as Suresh Menon who joins him, to solve the mystery, but it only gets more complicated.
On the Ann Sheetal front, she has a new neighbor, where she finds solace.
Will Bharat be able to save his martial life? Solve the current crisis at police work? This will form the rest of the story.
The movie ensures all sort of audience to think and focus on the movie, the movie ensures you are constantly engaged and keep seeing if your next guess is correct or not.
Lot of hints throughout the movie keeps us linking to connect to various points in story, and finally leads to the end.
Kaalidas’s movie maintains the suspense intact throughout, bharath does not know, so do we when we watch it, the originality of suspense is the USP of the film.
Suresh Menon character is a nice one adding and reminding about the morals to the film. Sri senthil has brought various things in this movie, which is what we would want to see more of him in future, be it knitting the story, originality etc.
The movie has some drawbacks like, it becomes slow which causes us to relax which is not what you expect from suspense thriller, pre climax portion and the end of the movie are unimpressive and play a spoilt sport.
The killers motive, what lead him to do this, this intention was not brought up clearly.
Bharath plays the role of dedicated and honest cop very nicely; Ann Sheetal in her debutant role looks charming and is impressive. Suresh menon’s presence in the movie makes it a better watch for sure.
Sri Senthil being new director has managed it all well, has a scope both to grow and show more of his talent too. Somewhere kaalidas looks like it has been influenced from talaash, a Hindi movie.
Chandrasekhar’s music is good and keeps in sync with movie, sometimes becomes more, but it’s okay.
The duration of movie is keep correct, and unnecessary deviations; which are not part of this movie, keeps the movie watchable.
Verdict
It’s a typical whodunit film which is watchable if you like such genre.
