The Wife movie 2021 is basically of the horror genre. Varun and Arya are a lovely married couple who have recently moved to their new apartment, which they bought on loan. But right from the time they moved in, some irrational activities started occurring in the house, similar to those occurring in almost all haunted houses.
At first their marriage starts falling apart. But then, Arya realised that the problem is supernatural and hence thought of seeking help from her friend. Their maid started bringing her sister’s baby daughter of not more than 2 years of age. After two days, the maid found her drowned in the washing machine while she was busy with other chores.
All this convinced Arya to resort to a psychic who is also a professor in the university for Psychology and Anthropology. Although initially sceptical, Varun is compelled to believe in Prof. Das and the therapy of ghost removal begins. But the spirit, though temporarily left the house, continued to possess the house until Varun gets killed. The trail of his past pushed him down the balcony with dysfunctional railings.

Script
The Wife movie Zee5 suited the plot in a good way, though it hardly had any depth in it. The way Prof. Das demonstrated the process of shooing the spirit of Sarika from the house seemed to be just like a child’s play. Dialogue framing lacked research which was visible vehemently throughout the film.
Acting
It was a treat to the eyes to watch Gurmeet Choudhary after such a long time. The Yash of Punarvivaah was all set to nail his character in the best possible way. Sayani Datta was amazing in her approach to the character especially in her debut.
Music
Music had almost no role to play in the movie except for some scary and creepy background scores. A little more share of music in the film would have given it life.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
With Kedar Phadke as the DOP, cinematography came out in in a good shell of light and shade. Manish More has also worked well as the editor of The Wife movie watch online.
Direction
Sarmad Khan needed to have a much more minute approach as far as the direction of the film is concerned. Gone are those days when horror films only require rich sets, creepy sounds and a game of light and darkness with flickering tube lights. A lot more attention to details was required.
