Orey Bujjiga Movie Review – A very familiar love story that you can expect

Orey Bujjiga movie Telugu streaming on Aha OTT platform is now trending. During this Covid-19 times, there is a slew of Direct to OTT releases. This movie was supposed to release in theatres on Ugadi. The movie has been released rather quietly, but it is has managed to give some laughs as a Rom-Com.

The story is a mix of several situations, characters and plot points of the mid-90s or early 2000s films. Sreenu alias Bujji (Raj Tarun) escapes from home during the wedding talks from Nidadavolu, as he loves someone else. Krishna Veni (Malvika Nair) also takes the same train to escape from the wedding. Someone from their village spots them together and thinks that they are an eloping couple. But, these two people don’t know each other. They meet each other on the train, but she doesn’t reveal her own identity. They both travel together, and there are few laughter scenes during the journey. Both the families are at odds. Bujji’s father, Posani Krishna Murali, has been receiving anger from Krishnaveni’s mother(Vani Viswanathan). So, Bujji wants to trace the whereabouts of Krishnaveni to prove that he has nothing to do with her escape from home to save his father. On the other side, Krishnaveni tries to find Bujji to tell about her story.

Script

The first half of the movie is packed with some laughter. Though it is not a very fresh comedy, it will not bad either. The second half is a bit dragging. Significantly, the hospital scenes between Saptagiri and RajTarun are too dragging. Yet, they are some fun generated between the scenes. Apart from the comedy, there is so nothing new to expect. The audience feels a little bored at some point due to the expected story. Due to the lack of depth of the characters makes them feel a little disappointing.

Acting

Raj Tarun once again proved that he is an energetic and entertaining actor. His performance is the best part of the film. When it comes to comedy scenes, he delivered an excellent performance and entertained the audience well. Malavika Nair also delivered an excellent performance. After a long time, she has acted in the Telugu movie. She is stunning on the screen. They both looked great together. They had great on-screen chemistry. Though Vani Vishwanath’s performance appeared robust, it doesn’t deliver well on-screen. Posani Krishna Murali’s comedy is very entertaining. Sapthagiri pulled his character well. Satya and Madhu did their job.

Music

Anup Rubens composed an excellent background score for the movie. However, the songs are not so great.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

Andrew has delivered excellent cinematography skills. The cinematography is bright and impressive. Prawin Pudi editing is bit minus point. He should have done a little better work.

Direction

Vijay Kumar Konda has repeated the same storyline. He needs to word little hard to delivery the comedy on the screen without lag. He can give more depth to actors like Vani Viswanath, Posani, Raj Tarun. There is a weak screenplay, and the dialogues are also not appropriately delivered. The climax emotional scenes are good.
