And this is a scenario that is prevalent throughout, with SVM college not being an exception. From the first season, the crashes between Joe and Zahira still continues to linger on. Ramya continues to be the common enemy, thereby attempting to make Girls Hostel 2.0 as a good sequel. The characters defined well in the first season takes shape in the process of development through the second season and serious twists and turns give the show a different direction. Ramya becomes the self-proclaimed President of the college—and she achieves this just by bribing the Principal. But soon, Zahira decides to confront her in the college elections. What pulls the Girls Hostel 2.0 5-episode web series through, is basically the relatability factor that thousands of students across the country living in hostels face.

Script
The script of Girls Hostel 2.0 web series Sony Liv is nothing much different of the type of dialect used in college romance. Bribing the Principal for becoming the college president—well we will surely have a doomed future waiting for us where students will not only have the audacity but the thought of bribing or blackmailing their teachers, forget about Principal. The script has context if we go by the plot. But other than that, there is absolutely nothing new about the script in Girls Hotel 2.0.
Acting
Shreya Mehta and Ahsaas Channa stand to be the best in terms of performance in Girls Hostel 2.0. Their understanding of the character has actually been well expressed through their performance. Gagan Arora’s delivery comes out to be extremely monotonous, with no room for the ups and downs of any situation. Srishti Srivastava and Simran Natekar have done a great job as well.
Music
Vaibhav Bhundoo and Deeptanshu Mokashi did a fairly good job as the music composer of Girls Hostel 2.0 Both the music and background scores catalyzed the enhancement of the execution of the series.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
Sudarshan Srinivasan could have done a more introspective job as the director of photography for Girls Hostel: Season 2. Special emphasis should have been given on capturing important cinematographic moments in a more significant way. Harshit Sharma was quite sharp as far as the editing of the series is considered.
Direction
Chaitanya Kumbhakonam made Girls Hostel Season 2 somewhat overtly dramatic. College life is undoubtedly about friends, parties and relationships—but the way it has been portrayed in the series is definitely much larger than life. Moreover, certain messages delivered in the series are much on the shallow side. Girls ae still told to dress properly and return early not because of the decorum and discipline of the hostel, but to ensure that the guys are not provoked by their actions. Nonetheless, with 5 episodes and short duration, binge watching is recommended for Girls Hostel 2.0.
