Her reign finds Fatima Warsi suitable for a potential and powerful position in the bank—the duo confronting the patriarchy kissers of the board of the bank. Fatima’s fight after a successful 5th IVF attempt has now turned against her husband, who from nowhere expects that his educated and ambitious wife doesn’t have better things to do than quit her job and raise their child. The next begum in line is Ayesha Agarwal, a small town lass polished with the egalitarian touch of a B school degree. She is fired once, rehired and then assigned to take charge of a scheme that focusses on the philanthropy of women off the grid. With survival instincts as her only weapon, Lily becomes the first beneficiary to Ayesha’s scheme. Lily is a sex worker who aims to flee from the streets of poverty and get her son admitted in an elite school. Shai Irani, the 13-year-old step-daughter of Rani, stands to be the youngest of the five begums, stands to be the narrator.

Amruta Subhash was fantastic in her approach with Aadhya Anand giving a tough challenge to the newcomers in Bollywood through her stunning craft of acting.

The music and background scores of Bombay Begums lifted the spirit of the web series to a good level. Melodies added to the flavour of the show in a good way.
