Eeb Allay Ooo Netflix movie 2021 opens with the arrival of Anjani into the capital city of India—Delhi. Living by the banks of the Yamuna river, popularily known as the ‘Jamna Par’, Anjani is entrusted with the duty of shooing away monkeys. Northern parts of India are famous for breeds of monkeys, and they make a lot of noise thereby adding a little more of audio effect to the already audible hustle and bustle of Delhi. Anjani resides beyond the NMDC lines in a slum, with his sister and brother-in-law. The metaphor strikes hard—as Hanuman, the worshipped monkey of Hindu mythology is referred to as “Anjani-putra”.

When stepped into the city of “Central Power”, Anjani dreamt of a better life. But then fate had its own queer game to play and as a result, he was captivated in the prison of the society. Chasing monkeys away from offices and public places became his job, even if he believed that he could do something better. The story takes its own pace, leaving the audience to witness the metamorphosis of Anjani, to one of those he chased away.

Under the supervision of Anshul Takkar, the music of Eeb Allay Ooo supported the theme and backdrop of the film. Music had no great role to play here, but its absence would have undoubtedly marred the overall execution.

Prateek Vats showed immense passion in the direction of the film. As a directorial debut, it is not only tough to visualize such a different concept, but also extremely difficult to understand the roots of the idea.
