Turu Love Hoichoi series starts off on a different note. Tiyasha and Aritra belong to two families of different mindsets and culture. Tiyasha is an independent woman who loves to enjoy her freedom of 6 smokes a day. She has a physical relationship with her best friend, who is not up for commitment. So, she decides to go for arranged marriage.
Aritra is a sweet boy, who is yet to become a man at heart. He is the only son of his rich parents, his father being the most successful businessman of Durgapur. After the families get to know each other, Aritra’s family visits Tiyasha’s house to get the day of marriage fixed. But on knowing that Aritra doesn’t contribute anything at all to his father’s business, and he doesn’t have a bank account or a PAN card, Tiyasha rejects her marriage with him. In order to win her back, Aritra pledges to gift her a diamond ring on the next Valentine’s day, and that too with his own hard-earned money.
He decides to get off the comfort zone of his parents and house in Durgapur and stays back in Kolkata in a paying guest setup. There he meets Brinda, a lady who boosts his confidence and helps him get a job in her company.
Finally, when Aritra is able to get the ring, he walks up to Tiyasha, who says that her best friend has finally proposed her and she is in love with him. Much to the contrary a relieved Aritra walks back to Brinda and proposes her for marriage, saying that he has finally found the true love of his life.

Turu Love reflects contradictory personalities of one single character. Life is complicated and that is beautifully depicted in the series.
Script
The script of Turu Love starts off with an excellent short narrative. In fact, despite the shallow ending, the script holds on to the filling of a good substance, that could have been used to deliver a better message if polished well.
Acting
While Ushasi Ray won our hearts with an absolutely different approach towards her character, Rishav Basu had a tough role to play, and he did pull through very well. His way of stammering, not continuously but subjected to situational demands, took his performance to another level. Rajnandini on the other hand was not expressive enough even when she was with her best friend.
Music
Music these days in most of the Bengali web series apart from thrillers have a more or less similar wave of melodies which are not engaging enough. Taalpatar Shepai could have produced some more introspective music in Turu Love 2021 web series.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
Debasish Banerjee as the DOP of Turu Love could have done a lot more. There were numerous instances which he could have captured from a better angle in order to define the cinematographic moments. Even a close focus of the much-awaited diamond ring was missing. Amir Mondal did a good job as the editor of the series.
Direction
Abhijit Chowdhury had a good directorial approach towards Turu Love. But what lacked the most in the show was poor characterisation. Tiyasha rejected Aritra, because the latter had no job or existence that he had earned of himself. So, when Aritra walked up to her with the ring, she could have shown that fire of appreciation and pride. It is true that Brinda helped out Aritra to get a job and succeed. But without Tiyasha’s rejection and her demand of Aritra getting on his feet, Aritra would have never looked at the path of hard work. Even if she was about to refuse Aritra, she should have appreciated his effort and determination. The bland reaction she delivered was absolutely contradictory for her character. Never the less, Turu Love has a freshness that makes the series worth watching.
