Sivangi Movie Tamil Review – An Easily forgettable horror flick

The movie is about how a girl is possessed by witch, and her struggle to outwit her.

Charmee plays the role of actress Sivangi, whose parents have passed away in a car accident. Now, she lives with her car driver who also handles most of her daily work, is also a superstitious in his beliefs, and also aspires to be a commercial hero.

One day a fan accidentally molests Charmee, both Charmee and his car driver beat him up without listening to his innocent side of story, the fan feeling humiliated attempts a suicide and tells unless Charmee come sand apologizes and sees him, he would not spare himself.

Charmee tries hard to see him in hospital , while director does not leave her to go, the father of this fan is a black magician, who is trying to save his innocent son, finally the boy passes away and black magician vows to avenge his death .

Sivangi reminds us of the Hollywood movie drag me to hell. Some scenes in movie have been same as the original or earliest version.

The movie is totally dependent and made for Charmee. She has again proved her talent from playing a normal to a bewitched actress.

The movie is repeated in terms of story like, how a wannabe hero pairs up with the popular actress, how Charmee endlessly repeats about superstitious beliefs. Director Tulsiram and Charmee have paired up for the second time after mantra, and deliver this average horror thriller again.

The background music and the sound effects are good and keeps the tempo of movie.

Subbu as charmee’s confidant plays a nice and honest role; producer uttej and assistant director also play good roles but the script of movie is everywhere and dialogues are not up to the mark, which does not give an overall well etched effect to whole movie.

Movie can be watched for Charmee, the first half of the film is good in terms of horror factor, but later fails miserably especially in climax, the aghoris who were the main part as seen in the promotion of movie, has very insignificant role and does not lift the climax anywhere, very poor climax and no scenes where we could see a distinct difference between good and bad fight.

Music & production

The music by viswa is and the songs which are especially item numbers are the commercial attraction for the audience. The production work is great, as it managed with a small budget and crew, cinematography is good , we may say though the movie is not a perfect one, still can be watched once for its overall work.

The movie has all the elements of success in the start but does not have anything in the later half and then as promised in the promo’s it fails to deliver in the later half.

Verdict

It can be watched once.
