The story of Dice Media originals production Firsts Season 4 web series 2021 barely has a well-crafted plot. It is a miniseries which forms an anthology or a collection of the “initial time when something happened” factor in the life of a couple.
Kabir and Janhavi are about to be a married couple, through arranged marriage. The instances covered in this miniseries are somewhat like—First time when they meet, first time when they watch movie together, first time when they face a hurdle and so on.

This series lacks both creativity and practical approach. With good performance and other counterparts, the series pulls off for entertainment.
Script
The script of this season lacks the punch that should have been the building block of this web series. Dialogues appeared to be quite unnatural and out of context. All what reflected was a perfect setup script for this series that did not have its own curves of life. “Normal is just another term for being lifeless”. And so was the script of this season.
Acting
Rohan Khurana did a fair job as Kabir. However, a little more attention to the diction during dialogue delivery could have lifted up his performance to a greater height. Shreya Mehta was spontaneous on her part. She added more life to her character of Janhavi than what was prescribed in the script and screenplay.
Music
Music almost had no role to play in the miniseries. Yet, Hardik Desai did a fair job in composing the background scores of Firsts: Season 4.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
With Vaibhav Lonkar as the DOP, the work of camera clearly nailed it. Important cinematographic moments were captured in the best possible way with enigmatic angles of shot. Jaicy Mathew and Subhasis Biswas have also worked well as the editor of this season.
Direction
Pranay Manchanda did a good job in selecting the theme and the concept as the director of Firsts: Season 4. But going by the first three seasons of the series, Season 4 falls quite flat. Most of the time Kabir is shown to be the most caring, perfect, understanding man every woman would want in life in the era of 2021. But the other side of the coin is left untouched. Even Kabir’s point of view should have had equal share in the series, where he also is free to expect something from Janhavi, and Janhavi is shown to fulfil that as well. The brevity of the show could have been a challenge. But that’s what was chosen by the makers. The project had potential, but lacked planning.
