13 aam number veedu review – A horror thriller
13 Aam number veedu 2020 is a bilingual shot in two different languages two times. It is a movie which is all about jump scares.
The story revolves around five IT professionals, who not only work at the same place but also are a group of friends. They hang out at every occasion and enjoy each other’s company. They stay together at one place. One day they create some nuisance and owner asks them to vacate the place. As such, they occupy a new home. In this place they experience paranormal activity and very horrifying incidents. This also forces them to look into their past, which lets out some very big secrets from their lives. This is reminiscent of “I know what you did last summer”.
Are these really paranormal activities or is there a human plot that is targeting this group of friends? This is what the whole movie is about.

It is a horror thriller and not just a routine horror. Director Vivy Kathiresan is also the writer , so we see the clarity in work i.e. narration and execution of movie.
The film does not have much novelty; it a same old horror story about scares, and runs for short time i.e. 1 hour 46mins. It gives you the Goosebumps during the movie but is of old style horror, Sudden scares are the key USP of film, which one may enjoy Right at the start of movie, we may start predicting, scene by scene of movie. It’s an effortless work by Vivy. The place where we see the work and some innovativeness is twists for every quarter of hour. The twists are too many for this movie and few in then are way too wasted that they are a sole reason for fall the movie.
The director has tried too hard to make the horror flick a success, but many things play a spoilt sport. The characters are introduced one after the other neatly; the place where the movie is shot for maximum time is bungalow, and the thrills cum horror are very seriously taken and done well. As said there are lot of twists in the movie a particular twist, fourth one, in fact has interrupted the flow of movie and could have been seriously avoided too.
Editing
Editing is visually appealing and keeps us engaged to the movie. Editing to the point is the highlight of movie, if not would have been a lacklustre one.
Cinematography
Cinematography is commendable for the fact that the whole film is shot in one bungalow and few shots in forest still the movie looks interesting. And the mystery is kept intact.
Music
Background music is loud and meaningless sometimes, and just adds to the film at times, so it is just okay.
The overall performance as a group is okay and pulls the fim to end, and thre is nothing much to talk about their acting skills.
Still to say, Ramana and Varsha Bollamma stand out with their performances for their roles.
Verdict
It’s a typical horror movie, if you like to sit and enjoy a horror flick of old times then go for it.
