Nishabdham Movie Review – An amazing attempt at a Hollywood style  thriller.

Nishabdam Amazon Prime story begins when Sakshi takes Anthony to a haunted house to find an ancient painting. The movie revolves around Sakshi (Anushka shetty) who is a witness of a murder case of a world famous musician, cello player Anthony.

A couple in 1972 are brutally murdered in this house and believed that there is a ghost in that house. After many years a business man took remodeled this house. In 2019, we also find Anthony killed in the same manner like the couple did in the basement of the house. This makes us believe that the deaths are indeed the doings of the ghosts. Sakshi miracoulsuly escapes from the house to the road to save her life. So, she is the only witness of that mysterious death. Public and media have different stories about the haunted house. Sakhi is the only person who can tell the true story of that house.

Here comes a twist that Sakshi is a deaf and Dum and cannot narrate the story easily. This makes the Police Officer Richard Dawkins (Michael Madsen) breakout: “Just what I need a mute for a witness”. He is very insensitive and frustrated man. After losing her wife 2 years back in an accident Richard becomes so frustrated and in tolerant man.Maha (Anjal) who works under Richard want to break this mystery. She tries to communicate with sakhi in sign language and takes a help of a translator.  She understood that there is a mystery in this story and there is no devil involved in the crime. Mahan came to know that Sakshi’s best friend Sonali (Shalini pandey) is missing 2 days after Sakhi’s and Anthony’s engagement. As an intelligent cop Maha tries to figure out what is happening around her. But, she ends up with no clues. Will Maha be able to close the case find the mystery behind?

Script:

The script of the story is very well written. The mystery accepts are really well delivered. The characterizations are built very well. The way the story progress is really appreciated.

Acting

The performances of the actors are really inspiring .Anushka shetty really adopted the skills of duff and Dum people and acted really well. Madhavan and his acting skills steel the show. The actor pulls-off his role so well.Anjal did her best in the role of cop. Shalini pandey plays sociopathic role who is obsessed with her friend. Subbaraju played a key character in the film. Subbaraju shared a little screen presence but he had his mark on the presence.Srinivas avasarala served his purpose well enough. Michael Madsen character is really convincing. But, his dubbing should have been better which pulled down the character.

Music

The apt use of background score took the movie to next level. It went really well which gives the mysterious experience of the movie. Girishh G. has composed the background where as Gopi Sundar composed the sound tracks. As, the movie belongs to thriller genre there are songs here are there only.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

Shaneil Deo is the cinematographer for the film. He has done an outstanding job. The locations are so beautiful. Special effects are also made very well. Prawin pudi’s editing work is also appreciable. Editing is the key of the film. It is very important to have a great editor for the film and Prawin Pudi did it so well.

Direction

Hemanth Madhukar did a great job as a direction of Nishabdam Amazon prime. The director reveals the series of the love stories which conveys the awful message about the love concept. But the locations of the movie are really nice. The movie is completely filmed in US but the greeneries, art a gallery, neat roads gives you a great treat to watch. Finally, Nishabdam is a great treat for Anushka’s fans as well as thriller movie lovers. You can watch Nishabdam on Amazon prime.
