Miss India Movie Review – Do not Miss this Tea Movie from India

Miss India movie is about a Tea named “Miss India” and a girl named Manasa samyuktha. She dreams of being an entrepreneur right from her childhood days. The journey of Manasa towards this dream forms the story of the Miss India movie online.

Manasa Samyuktha (Aka keerthy Suresh) is a girl from typical family ; her mother Nadhiya always tells her that she is from a middle class family who needs to study well and get a good groom for herself. She and her brother have to run their family, while Manasa’s father talks about her grades in school and tells her future for sure, is getting a good job and settling down in life. Despite so many family expectations and pressures, Manasa still longs for her dream and is very persuasive towards achieving the same.

After the immediate family expectation, there is a little relief for her from Grandfather, who is the inspiration for her dreams. He is an Ayurveda doctor, whose famous concoction tea is the cure for all the ailments. Now manasa wants to popularize the Tea which is named as “Miss India” Tea all over the world and achieve her dream of life.

Soon, during the times of her dream chase, Manasa’s brother moves abroad, and eventually whole family moves to USA, where Manasa does an MBA degree from San Francisco (where she hardly attends any class!), somehow, finishes her MBA.

All through this length of Miss India, movie still does not open up to the main theme, which is what makes it boring and a dragging one.The director of Miss India (Aka Narendra) has failed to build up the tempo of the movie, which never lets us taste the flavor of this chai “Miss India” . This is what has brought down the movie level to low! Tea not strong enough to wake us up to the film!

While in USA, Manasa meets Vijay aka Navin Chandra, who proposes love and wants to marry her. But she refuses the proposal with the sole aim of pursuing her dream. This theme of girl ardently pursuing her goal of life is very appreciative but the way the story is written and directed, the movie leaves a lot to be desired.

Lot of people come in different walks of life for Manasa either to make her a better half or love or just to stop her from chasing her dream. But manasa focuses very adamantly towards the goal only, which is again a plus point for Miss India movie telugu.

In this situation while Manasa is promoting the tea belief to the “T”, she comes across her strong Rival KSK aka Jagapathi Babu .He is well dressed in the monochrome suits, being a versatile actor he handles the role very well, but the film again lacks the necessary script to bring out the best of his acting talent.

The dialogue and acting skills of Keerthy Suresh and Jagapathi babu are the only saving grace of movie. Both have again done their part well as always. However, it could have been much better though, if the rest of crew supported them!

Arch rivalry role between the competitors is not etched properly, poor plans, tactics and silly situations spoils Miss India.

There is no climax point in the movie, as the movie has never touched the base since its start , very superficial treatment ; and shallow acting skills due to lack of clear meaning of the movie. This is only an idea based movie. Lot of homework could have been done to give it a successful professional piece of work.

Cinematography & Screenplay

Cinematography is good as the change of place from India to USA has been handled well, smooth work. Screenplay is flimsy.

Music is good both as songs and back ground movie and is passable.

Editing

This 2hour 15min movie is long and leads to nowhere for a very long time, there by loses its steam. The movie can be easily cut 20mins as editing as lot of unnecessary stuff which leads to nowhere are present.

All in all it’s a movie which can be seen for Keerthy Suresh and Jagapathi Babu fans , and a good theme.
