Maara Movie Review – A well made film which drives straight into your heart.
Maara Amazon Prime is a beautifully made movie with complete dedication The movie just makes way to your heart, heartfelt.
The story is about Shraddha, who as a child had a story which she finds painted on the walls in a house in a small hamlet. Intrigued, she goes in search of the artist or painter who did that. She comes out of her home, not accepting a marriage proposal, she comes to work on heritage building restoration work, where through her work she reaches Maara’s residence. Here, she finds the artist’s work and perfectly relates to her childhood story. However, to her dismay , the artist is not in that place.
The search for Maara begins, while the journey begins, she finds many people who were somewhat related to Maara. As such, she knows more of him, finally she ends up in ooty. The movie is a journey in itself. Will shraddha meet Maara? What is more to this story?

Performances
The movie is an adaptation of popular, hit movie Charlie. Though it has a feel of Charlie, still it has many nuances of its own version.The film is a lovely in terms of how it has been made. Looks straight out of an emotional outcome in terms of making.
Shraddha has a solid superb role, in Maara. The best thing about her is her emotional, facial expressions which stand out. Looks like she was completely in the skin of her role. Madhavan is a charismatic and romantic hero, and has the similar charisma or even more in this movie. Though the role has been crafted for both his experience and age it still holds the charm to be called the star role of the film. The supporting cast of Mouli and Alexander stand apart.
Direction
Dhilip has done so good on this movie, with this new cast he gives a complete fresh look to movie despite several comparisons from Charlie. He has managed to make a character which suits Madhavan perfectly instead of gypsy like character of Charlie, maara is a matured character with a life to talk about, and this is a tailor made role for Madhavan.
Dhilip has ensured right at the start how shraddha’s profession will meet the Maara’s life, which was, good plan of movie.
Dialogues are very straight and conversational, the makeup , costumes are real and pleases the eyes and suit the movie completely, just in glove, perfectly fitting the hand.
Cinematography
It’s a movie filled with warm colors and hues , the movie takes us down the lane of kochi , makes it look so beautiful , remins us of the good job done in movie dharrala Prabhu, the duo i.e. Dinesh and Karthik has again done a excellent job.
Music
Ghibran has given a music which flows through the movie, adding its beauty to the movie, rather than taking its own course. Great job by him, Maara songs are hummable and may be remembered for some time to come .
Verdict
It’s a must watch, movie. Perfect start for the year 2021 as a good and quality, entertaining film.
