Laxmii review – A presentation of Red, in different forms and styles, with no concrete objective.

The story of Laxmii on Hotstar is based on a horror comedy, the main plot having its inspiration from a popular film from the south. The primary question that might arise after watching the movie, only if you can sit throughout, is who is Laxmii? Well, let us begin with our protagonist. Asif and Laxmii form a happily married couple. But their marriage did not have the acceptance of Rashmi’s family, particularly her father. And the reason—of course, difference in religion. However, after their marriage, Rashmi’s loving mom Ratna called her home with Asif. And then began the story of Laxmii. Laxmii is a transgender spirit who craves for vengeance. Asif on the other hand, doesn’t believe in ghosts or any other element of the paranormal world. But the irony of fate has its own twists and turns. The spirit of Laxmii takes Asif into possession and slowly, the attitude of Asif starts becoming effeminate.

Laxmii Bombb Full movie story has too many elements and hence predominantly lacks the balance and binding which a film with this star base should have had.

Script

The script of Laxmii movie 2020 is enough to leave the movie in midway. Even now a hero is shown to say if he really came in contact with a spirit, he will wear bangles—depicting how shameful it is for a man to even wear some bangles. If you really want to watch Laxmii and get entertained, please hibernate the woman in you before you do so.

Acting

Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Rajesh Sharma and Ashwini Kalsekar—all of them actually underplayed, rather they had no other option but to underplay. They were not utilised even to the half of their capacity and that’s what also contributed in drowning the film in the whirlpool of failure.

Music

Under the supervision of Tanishk Bagchi, Anup Kumar, Amar Mohile and Shashi-Khushi, the music and background scores of Laxmii took the tension in the film to another level.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

With Kush Chhabria and Vetri Palanisamy as the directors of photography, the work of camera really gave a treat to the eyes. There was a huge scope to capture good cinematographic moments and it was utilised to the possible extent. Rajesh Pandey on also worked very well as the editor of Laxmii movie watch online.

Direction

2020 is a year full of exceptions. In this year, February saw the arrival of a film like Thhappad, where the female protagonist says: “usne mujhe maara, paheli baar, sirf ek baar—nahi maar sakta, bas itni si baat hai”. And here goes an excellent director like Lawrence Raghavendra, who tags the effeminate moves of a spirit possessed man as: “auraton wali harkatein”. Not only were the casting members under-utilised, the pedestrian performance of the actors coupled with the lack of connectivity of scenes as well as the context of the plot. Sharad Kelkar, who somewhere brought out the essence of Laxmii in the best possible way, was again under-utilised.
