Colour Photo Movie Review – A 1997 Emotional Love Story

Colour Photo movie Telugu is streaming on Aha platform. With continuous releases of Telugu movies and web series on OTT platform Colour is one among them. Colour photo movie Suhas is a well know actor and comedian in Telugu Film Industry.He tried his luck as a hero for the first time with Colour Photo film. The film has a great expectation due to the publicity.

The story takes place in a rural village called Pallamkuntu in Machilipatnam in the year 1997. Jayakrishna (Suhas) studies engineering in a good college. His life’s ambition is to secure a good job and wants to take good care of his father. On the other side Deepthi (Chandini Chowdhary) is a sister of Inspector Rama Raju (Sunil) who is pursuing Engineering from the same college.

One fine day Jayakrishna accidently meets Deepthi during a cultural fest and instantly falls in love with her. Days pass on but he never expresses his love to Deepthi due to several reasons. A gang beats Jayakrishna badly and this issue comes closer to Deepthi. Slowly, their friendship blooms. On a good day Deepthi proposes Jayakrishna and their love story initiates.

Rama Raju comes to know about their love story. He opposes it and sends Deepthi to Vijayawada. Now, the remaining story is all about their hurdles and how they overcome it.

There are many love stories in which the central theme is chosen on the basis on caste, region and religious difference. But, this story is taken on the basis on color discrimination.

Script

The script itself speaks about a lot of social issues. Taking such versatile script as a new direction is a daring step. The periodical touch which is given to the story is appreciable. There is freshness in the story line. The first 40 min of the movie is a comedy track. Sandeep came to the industry from a short film background and he could have done better if he could have projected the story without any lag. The emotions are carried so well throughout the film. Special mention is about the dialogues of the story. Each and every dialogue is very powerful and emotional.

Acting

Suhas is already a proved comedian and an actor. With Colour Photo Suhas has showcased his complete acting range. He has proved himself as a supremely talented actor with his great voice expressions and screen presence. Telugu Film Industry should use his talent properly in the coming years.

Chandini Chowdary also pulled her character well. Colour Photo movie gave her scope to showcase her talent and she utilized it to the core. Her performance in the climax is really superb. She just proved that Telugu girls have lots of talent and the industry should utilize it properly.

Sunil played a villain role in this movie. He tried a new variation in his career and did a good job. Viva Harsha also got a good role in the movie. Divya dristi who is again from the short films background performed as a Sunil’s wife. She is done a good job for her role.

Music

Kala Bhirava is mesmerized the audience with his fresh tunes. His background music is really amazing. He has got talent. His music is the biggest highlight of the entire film.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

Venkat R Shakamuri has done a great cinematography for the film. He has delivered a top notch quality of cinematography by capturing the rustic visuals. Editing is also decent enough for the movie.

Direction

Sandeep has done a great debut with Colour photo. This movie tells that Sandeep has a good grip on emotions. He handled the love story well. He projected the story line well but he failed to carry the emotion till the end. But one can say that he has done a great job with his first film. Sandeep will be one among those talented directors who came from short film industry. He got succeeded as a talented director by taking the best out of the actors and the technicians.
