Bullets Web Series Review – An awful excuse to objectify women
Bullets on MX Player 2021 is a series which has the farthest connection with reality. Hemant Korade is a politician who is enthroned with the crown of corruption. Politics and corruption—as if they go hand in hand always, with no exception at all. Hemant has a son named Sunil Korade. He hosts a pompous party to celebrate the launch of his new pub. He has a girlfriend from Canada, named Tina. That very night, Sunil gets killed. Tina flees with another girl called Lolo. They flee to the Goa and take shelter at a lodge. Along with the police, Sunil’s henchman Ketu is also after them.

Bullets Web Series Trailer
Bullets is a series with no depth of story. Weak characterisation and lack of details make it fall apart.
Script
The script of Bullets web series MX Player lacks the primary substance of the plot. A sheer lack of attention to the dialect and diction of almost all of the characters is prevalent throughout the series.
Acting
Sunny Leone and Karishma Tanna were definitely underutilised. It is absolutely clear that probably the director didn’t have enough vision of how capable the casting members of this series are. The female leads have been simply objectified with their outfits and body language. It’s a true surprise for the viewers as well that Sunny Leone had actually said a yes to this role. With tacky dialogues and monotonous expressions, the female leads of Bullets become unbearable at times. Above all, the actor whose talent has been seriously dishonoured is none other than Deepak Tijori. His past is definitely forgotten by the director.
Music
Dharm, Sandeep and Laxmikant Funde make a sheer fall in the music department. Background scores don’t carry even the slightest tinge of thrill or tension. Music of Bullets was definitely not apt enough.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
The cinematography of Bullets started off well with celebrating grandeur through Arvind Singh’s work of camera. But the honeymoon period lasted for some moments. There was no depth in the layering of scenes and even the scenic views were not something extra-ordinary. Editing by Sanjay Ingle was somewhat on the better side as compared to the other aspects of the series.
Direction
What serves to be the biggest blunder of the director Devang Dholakia is that in the process of making an action thriller, he completely forgot to strengthen the detection body of this thriller. A thriller is not borne of heinous crimes or complex criminal psychologies. A thriller becomes juicy only if it has the seasoning of the good investigation. Dholakia made the police a game watcher—which is highly unacceptable with the kind of productions that India sees today both on silver screen as well as OTT platforms. Under-utilisation of the casting members, failure in shaping up a good screenplay out of a simple plot, lack of attention to the script writing—all these noticeably contribute in the failure of Bullets web series on MX Player.
