A Simple Murder Web Series review – Life has got a lot to offer, we just need to keep our hearts and minds open to it
A Simple Murder Sony Liv web series is a deftly woven confetti of the unusual combination of crime and humor. When the radar of crime starts racing high, humour just comes in at the right time to balance it, triggering immense interest in the audience and keeping them glued to watch what happens next. The best part of the story is that it contains a lot of parallel characters which are shown to be connected to the central character in an extremely logical way, with minimal aid of coincidences.
Parth is a struggler in one word. He dreams of doing something big and also works hard so that his start-up company takes off well. While he keeps on trying hard, his wife Richa, is shown to have no patience and no faith in Parth’s business and goes for an affair with her boss Rahul. But fate has its own way of getting things done. Sometimes when people want anything badly and don’t have much choices left, they slowly give up on their fear of losing out things, often because they don’t have anything left.
A popular leader of the Jat, primarily a powerful minister comes in way to change Parth’s future, indirectly though. His daughter elopes with her Muslim lover and the “father” appoints a contract killer from the side business of a Pandit to get the young couple killed. And that offer goes to Parth, who is not a professional in this field, but has a grave need for money. But in the process, Parth fails miserably.

A Simple Murder Trailer
A Simple Murder is a delectable approach of portraying the brisk picture of a struggler, who is compelled to go for something under the tremendous pressure of compulsion.
Script
The script of A Simple Murder complements the plot quite well. In terms of dialects and diction, the script defines the characters with good work of detailing. There was punch, there was substance, and most importantly, there was context in the script.
Acting
It was a treat to the eyes to watch Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in the lead right after his excellent performance in the Amazon film Chhalaang. He actually deserved a role and the exposure that suited his talent. Sushant Singh was equally amazing as the parallel character and Amit Sial, with limited exposure to the emotional graph, managed quite well to make a mark in the film.
Music
His work in A Simple Murder is equally appreciable. Films and series soaked in crime depend a lot on good music and background scores. Karsh Kale served the purpose very well.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
With S. Bharathwaaj as the DOP, the cinematography of A Simple Murder was completely bewitching. The perfect balance of light and shadow even while taking close up shots of the actors gave a dynamic angle to the series.
Direction
Sachin Pathak had a minute approach as far as the direction of the series: A Simple Murder is concerned. The way portrayed the unique confluence of crime and comedy in the series is not only unique, but also worthy of appreciation. However, a congregation of too many characters were about to make the series slip off from the cliff. But then the possibility of fall was handled well with a quick change of events. Overall, A Simple Murder is a very good series that is worthy of giving a watch.
