Chakravyuh web series 2021 is based a group of people who blackmail young girls with their sex tapes. Sagarika is a simple college girl who falls in love with Raj, the heart throb of many, until one gets to know his inner self. Sagarika’s friend Nayantara teamed up with Raj and drugged Sagarika on a night at disco and of course the remaining night passed with Sagarika and Raj making love together and Nayantara recording the same. From next morning, Sagarika starts getting blackmailing text messages, which forces her to transfer 2 lacs of cryptocurrency to the blackmailer’s account. The story begins when Inspector Virkar begins his investigation with the murder of Raj—brutally slaughtered and his private parts chopped off. The murder trail targets all members of the blackmailing group. But then Virkar discovers, that although it has been made to look like Sagarika’s revenge, she has already been killed much before these murders took place. The one committing these crimes one by one was a killer hired through Dark Web, and she got killed as well. In the meantime, Virkar falls in love with Naina, Sagarika’s counsellor. The story takes its own pace with Virkar’s hacker friend IB getting killed, while Naina is revealed to be the mastermind behind everything.

Chakravyuh web series is a thriller with a lot of layers—but what lacks is the purpose of such a big fuss.
Script
The script of Chakravyuh web series MX Player has nothing extraordinary to present. On the contrary, it is pretty monotonous. The same kinds of words are in use for everyone—starting from police chiefs and commissioners, to potential hackers. The script is undoubtedly eventful, but lacks special attention to detail.
Acting
Prateik Babbar holds his character in place with a lot of intensity. He reminds the audience of Amit Sadh in the Zee5 web series Jeet Ki Zid. However, his expressions stood bland and puffy even in situations of deep crisis. Simran was perfect with her grace, elegance and intellectual expressions capable of spitting venom at any possible time with a smile. Ashish Vidyarthi is one of the most underrated actors Bollywood can ever have. He is even underutilised in this series as well.
Music
Music fitted well into the slots of the scenes. Under the supervision of Faizan Hussain, melody made the series come out with myriad shades of colour.
Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing
Hari K Vedantam as the DOP did a splendid work in giving the visuals of Chakravyuh a different dimension altogether. Editing was also done well by Bhupesh Micky Sharma thereby ensuring a firm binding of the series.
Direction
Sajit Warrior envisioned Chakravyuh as an extremely interesting thriller. Although the story had multiple layers with convincing setup, it fell too weak to be a labyrinth, as suggested by the title. In a Chakravyuh, attacks are never unidirectional. Revealing Roy’s appearance at such an early stage was not a very good idea. However, with a strong plot and performance pulling through, Chakravyuh stood to be a series worth watching.
