Asad Ahmed Khan is known to be the best shooting champion of India who arrives at Belgrade for a tournament. Zoya Farooqui is the daughter of a divorcee woman who is about to get married in Belgrade to her childhood friend Salman, but has no love for him.

With Zoya’s friend Sana’s help, right before saying “Qubool Hai” to her would be husband in the wedding, Zoya flees. At the same time, Asad finishes off his tournament with a victory and sits in his car without any interview, breaking his usual schedule. Zoya incidentally bumps into him and to save herself from the goons sent by Salman in search of her, Zoya seeks help from Asad. With the pacing turn of events, Asad rescues Zoya each time from the goons and arranges for a charter flight using the contacts of his coach, that would take Zoya to her destination—Islamabad. While Zoya boards her flight, Sana reveals to Asad that Zoya is not safe in the flight as well. Somehow Asad finds his way to the plane and before he could rescue Zoya from there, the plane took off to Islamabad.

After defeating all threats on the flight, Asad gets to know that Zoya is the daughter of General Bakhtiyar Farooqui of Pakistan. He also gets to know that Zoya is a renowned writer with a pen name and his own sister Najma is one of her fans. Meanwhile, Najma and her boyfriend Rizwan take the responsibility of consoling Asad’s mom and the duo is shown to be ethical hackers. On reaching Islamabad, Zoya reaches her dad’s residence with Asad and General Farooqui is shown to have visible hatred towards Indians.

Just when he announced his desire of getting Zoya married to Haider, one of his potential and trusted sub-ordinates and also Zoya’s friend, a group of unknown masked people attacked the house, getting Haider and other security personnels killed. While the rest of the family was sent to the secured bunker room, Asad went up to Zoya’s father in order to help him, but then he was about to die of poison. It got revealed to him that Asad was a recruit of the Indian National Security Council, who had to enter the house of General Farooqui to get the nuclear codes that can be a serious threat to Indian security.

Qubool Hai Season 2 Trailer

Qubool Hai Season 2 will have no question in the beginning. But once Asad’s motive is revealed, the series of questions fall faster than the shower of bullets.

Script

The script of Qubool Hai Season 2 had a tangy flavour of comic hint in the beginning, where a lively vivacious Zoya tried to strike a conversation with the silent and serious Asad. Eventually, the script got into the skin of the plot and fused with it beautifully, so much so, that it’s difficult to point out between the reflex words and the fabricated dialogues. Although the subject was around national security, there was no overflow of security codewords.

Acting

Karan Singh Grover is blessed with an expressive face. Dr. Armaan of Dil Mil Gaye is back again with his sharp face cut and admixture of complicated emotional expressions. Karan leads the cast with an irresistible charm that ignites the air bubble between the characters of Asad and Zoya. His seldom change of frowns even during murders make him deliver perfectly the role of a trained recruit. Quickly followed by Karan, Surbhi is a wisp of fresh air and mellow sunlight who illuminates the show with her inherent radiance. Not only her expressive eyes, her voice has the interplay of ups and downs of the series. Arif Zakaria is as good as he always is, with the known fire of cunning hatred simmering in his eyes. It was both a shock and a pleasant surprise to watch our beloved Saurabh Raj Jain to transcend from Vasudev Krishna to Hassan, an army officer of Pakistan who faked his death in order to ensure the protection of his nation.

Music

Music reflected the flavour of the series both through songs and background scores. Just when the audience would encounter a slightest grain of moment of exhaustion from bullet showers, a beautiful melody came to rescue in the form of a tranquil zephyr.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

Qubool Hai Season 2 web series could not have had a better work of cinematography. Sharp and contextual editing complemented the magical cinematography in the best possible way.

Direction

Glen Barreto, Ankush Mohla and Mrinal Jha showed a good directorial approach towards Qubool Hai Season 2. With less strings attached to the prequel, the series is well served in its own, new juices of twists and turns. However, for such a trained officer like Sana Sheikh, it’s difficult to admit that she made a grave mistake of dropping the corpse with a thud. Also, for the crew who tried to attack Zoya and Asad on the charter plane, they could not have been Salman’s goons. So, the question of their identity remains unknown. Ending the last episode abruptly actually made it quite a disaster to the promising plot and execution. However, Qubool Hai Season 2 has a different taste where once more a man faces both emotional attractions and call of duty, but never gets into the dilemma.
