Jamai 2.0 web series actually serves no good purpose of being conceptualized. Jamai Raja was widely accepted because of its different approach. While Indian television struggled with the toxicity building up between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, Jamai Raja came up with the story of a son-in-law who fights for acceptance of his mother-in-law.

But using the brand just for commercialization is probably the worst possible idea that the makers could ever have. Siddharth and Roshni are now back to the audience and Siddharth this time is all set to take revenge from Roshni’s mom, Durga Devi. Durga Devi is shown to have a chain of night clubs in the city. When family is involved, there is no reason why a serious revenge is required, but that’s what Jamai 2.0 web series does. It exemplifies the intensities of the situations, with no focus on the characterisation depicted in its much loved prequel.

Jamai 2.0 Season 2 web series had no purpose to serve at all. Thereby making its very making and existence, questionable to the fans and admirers of Jamai Raja Season 1.

Script

The script of Jamai Season 2 web series on Zee5+ Alt Balaji has nothing extraordinary to offer. The dialogues framed seem to quite a lot on the artificial side for most of the characters.

Acting

Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma have significantly underperformed in the sequel. The had the least to deliver based on the direction as well as the screenplay. Achint Kaur managed to hold on to the gravity of her character, but couldn’t deliver much to cover up for the existing blandness of the series.

Music

Jamai Season 2 had the least to do with music. With the primal foundation of the series being unstable, there’s no point in criticizing Pradeep Mukhopadhyay for the music department functioning in way which is totally out of context.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing

Madhu Vannier as the cinematographer of Jamai: Season 2 manages to do a good job. However, poor editing of the series stands to one of the building blocks for the failure of the show.

Direction

Aarambhh M Singh and Shashant Shah as the directors of Jamai: Season 2 could have given a little more time to the sequel and way more time on thinking whether actually this season required its existence. The resources involved were significantly under-utilised starting from the casting members to the editor and music supervisors. Jama: Season 2 only leaves back footsteps of disappointment behind for the audience to ponder upon why they gave it a shot.
