Nipah Virus Movie Review – Reality checked & sincerely depicted.
It’s a real life incident about the deadly nipah outbreak in Kerala, and the courageous battle by the people of Kerala to contain the spread of nipah virus. It is Malayalam movie dubbed to Telugu movie. It has been in the limelight since the novel corona outbreak and dubbed in Telugu.
The movie begins as a small health problem in the village Perambra, in Kozhikode district, and later spreads to entire state. Zachariac is admitted in hospital with symptoms of cough and vomit; he is ill and soon passes away, before the reason is identified. Soon the nurse Akhila aka Rima Kallingal who works in the same government hospital where Zachariac is admitted, also falls ill. The situation where, the similar symptoms as deceased, not knowing the cause of disease, the entire medical fraternity, government bodies, become alarmed and try to find the root reason. Soon after, the affected are moved into quarantine, how the families of the affected are isolated, spread of the disease in the whole state, form the emotional bulk of movie. How the state and the people tackle this outbreak and contain it successfully is what the movie’s story all about. It a real situational movie. The movie has simply reconstructed the situation to tell it to all, and it’s been done perfectly.

Nipah Virus Telugu Trailer (Aha)
Director Aashiq abu has made a emotional real drama thriller, absolutely. His directorial skills are evident from his first movie; this movie further showcases his direction skills. He has chosen the medical theme which is real and executed it well too, it’s a multi starrer movie, every prominent actor getting a limited screen time, still everything looks well placed and to the point. The message of movie is just right and just in perfect place.
The emotional turmoil of the affected people and families is very well handled, tireless efforts by medical fraternity, strong government support to resolve the issue, all these have been depicted very well.
Many of the cast is not know in Telugu industry, still with their acting abilities they leave a good impression to remember for long time.
The movie has the entire situation shown very dramatically, like finer details of the epidemic spread to the conclusion of a possible role of mysterious origin of nipah virus, possible terrorist weapon, and role of pharmaceutical mafia.
Scriptwriting
Scriptwriter, muhsin should be applauded for the fact, though its multi starrer everybody role is neatly etched and looks real and awesome.
Music
Sushin Shyam has given a good back ground music which leaves us in thoughtful mood for long think about the medical situation and emotional unrest.
Cinematographer
Rajeev rai is needless to say a popular camera person, has done full justice to movie, visuals are impeccable.
Editing
Few scenes in the movie could have been edited to pace up the movie, still it’s a decent job overall.
Verdict
It’s a 152minutes emotional, drama, medical thriller, must watch for someone who enjoys scientific thrillers, a good watch, intelligent and well crafted movie.
