Ammoru Thalli is a bilingual movie, Ammoru thalli is a deity name. It is a much awaited movie by audience in south. It’s an OTT release and was touted as a drama film. Let’s look at how this movie is.

Story: The story is about Ramaswamy aka RJ Balaji who comes from a middleclass family and is the only bread winner in family, He works as a small time reporter in a channel and has been working on a criminal case of a self-proclaimed god man Bhagavathi babu aka ajay gosh. Ramaswamy has a family of 6 members, Urvashi play the role of his mother, two sisters, grandfather, and father.
Urvashi longs to visit tirupathi each year, but is unable to do so, so someone suggests her to offer prayers to their family deity Ammoru Thalli, as she does, Ramaswamy also opens up his heart and prays to Ammoru, happy by his prayers Ammoru appears to him.
The movie revolves around how Ammoru comes in ramaswamy’s life and helps him to uncover the bhagavathi babu’s scam and how it changes his family life forms the story.
Review
Nayantara as goddess Ammoru has stolen the limelight of the movie, excellent acting skills by nayantara, Very good make up and costume, makes her look beautiful and lends the much expected goddess image to her. She is apt as Ammoru thalli.
RJ Balaji plays his role as small times reporter very well, being an actor and writer has helped him to give a clear performance, his acting as a reporter is appreciable. Urvashi as mother is perfect her comic sense is very good, being a seasoned actor she does a great job throughout the film.
Bhagavathi babu’s role is loud, ajay Ghosh has performed it okay. Comedy timing with nayantara is also good.
The manner in which fake baba’s are in today’s life has been shown in this movie.
Movie is run of mill type, many movies with such theme have already been made, and newness is only the way RJ balaji has treated the movie in some areas. First half of movie is comedy but later half it loses the connectivity between scenes and comedy is also lost somewhere.
Entry of the goddess in the family in movie takes too long but is a good one at the last, introduction of nayantara in the film is decent when compares to other Ammoru movies in past. Emotions of sister in family, Urvashi’s performance when she visits a family for marriage alliance of his son and Ammoru in the scene is also decent.
Music:
Music for the film is average, manages well throughout, climax music is different and appreciable.
VFX of goddess setup is really commendable.
Telugu dubbing has been done well, production job is the best of all in technical aspect.
Director
Director has done a good job , took the repetitive script and added some comedy and good cast and has made the movie look new.
Verdict:
It’s a good family, one time watch ,hilarious , dramatic movie.
