Lockdown Rishtey MX Player Review – An anthology of reality, a herbal seasoning on introspective realization.
MX Player Lockdown Rishtey web series seems to be a very unique project as it is shot during the lockdown period or March-June in India. But what actually makes it more interesting and actually unique is the tales of life that the series depicts.
In the first episode called Faasley (meaning distance), the audience gets to see a couple based in Mumbai, to be separated very soon due to their mutual differences. Uday and Seemu can barely bear with each other even for a couple of minutes and hence have decided to get separated. But the compulsion of staying together during lockdown helps them discover what they still have in themselves for each other and thus a broken relationship gets fixed.
The second episode, titled as Rail ka Dibba, delineates the story of an NRI living in a huge spacious apartment in Singapore, who is now locked up at his residence in India. He is then compelled to put up with 10 people in four rooms and his concept of space makes the situation all the more irritating for him. But then he discovers the importance of the bonding associated with sharing of spaces.
The next episode, Zid, takes us to the city of passionate, aristocratic love in North India—Lucknow. Munna and Pinky are two fresh love-birds who decide to elope knowing the non-acceptance of their families towards this relationship. But the lockdown thwarts away their plans and Pinky and Munna gets locked up in two separate rooms at Pinky’s residence. But after a good conversation of Pinky with her dad, the latter’s heart melts and their relationship finds acceptance to the family.
Maths, one of the most innovative concepts portrayed out in this series is bound to win the hearts of the viewers. Munmun is a Delhi based woman he goes to meet her would be in-laws. They are quite prospective and that’s exactly what makes Munmun turn down the proposal for marriage. But due to the lockdown, she gets stuck there and slowly discovers that beyond financial equations, there lies and open horizon of love, care and compassion in the family.
Farq Zubaan—another gem of a concept in the barren island of lockdown. What if a Dada lives among cats and dogs and their families where crows become the villain?

In Lockdown Rishtey web series, each and every actor did a great job. It is actually very tough to shoot on your phone throughout and yet pretend to be speaking to each other in the same place. But the energy levels of all actors are reflected through their performance
Direction
Lockdown Rishtey holds a good degree of uniqueness in its theme as well as its execution. Not to the level of Pabitra Pubbies on Hoichoi, but definitely Abhijit Das did a good job as the director of Lockdown Rishtey portraying real life situations in the pandemic.
