The Gone Game is all about a death that occurs during the lockdown period in Gujral Family. It later on turns into a murder mystery. Is it a death, a murder, or something exceptional happened because of Covid?

The Covid pandemic will significantly play a crucial role in most films, short films, and web series. Sahil (Arjun Mathur) dies due to Covid-19. But later it is found that he didn’t die. There is a rumor that Chaudhary kidnapped him. Prateek Kidnapped him. Then, a still confounding news arrives that Prateek and Suhani murdered him. The Gujral family mystery story begins in March 2020, when there is a lockdown announcement due to Covid-19. All family members are staying in different parts of India, vis. Delhi, Mumbai, Dehradun, and Bengaluru. Despite the physical distance, all the family members are connected through virtual calls. Smartphone and technology play a crucial role here. And in such a scenario, if a murder is revealed, it consumes a lot of effort to get to its root.

The first season of The Gone Game is similar to a 20-20 cricket match. Here the pace of runs grows, and when you expect a home run with a passion, then a dodge ball ! Everything is so fast in the The Gone Game. No melodrama occurs after the death of Sahil in this series. The matter immediately moves forward. After some moments, one realizes that this death is not natural. Sahil is dead from Corona, but there is some thing wrong about the way he died.

In the middle of the thrill, the director also puts a temperament of horror. With room lights automatically switching on, to bells ringing from her number on mobile, there is a spooky element added.

One realizes, that Sahil’s wife (Shriya Pilgaonkar) is in Janaki Sadan Kovid Hospital in Mumbai. That her sister (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) is in Bangalore. Did Sahil want to talk about his friend and sister’s old doctor boyfriend (Indranil Sengupta) ? Or the money-lending advocate Chaudhary (Divyendu Bhattacharya)? His wealthy industrialist father (Sanjay Kapoor)? Or is it something else.

The Gone Game describes how times have changed. Despite being far away, everyone is connected to every moment. But, in a scenario where relations need not be face to face, crime has also changed its face. It is more behind the curtain than what meets the eye. It becomes difficult to solve such cases. But the exciting thing is that the technology that is making the criminals smart , is also helping solve the problems of crime.

In the Corona era, many films-short films-web series are being made with limited budgets and inside houses. The Gone Game Voot is just a beginning. In the coming days, you will see Corona pandemic as a consequential story track in thriller, comedy and social dramas.
