Mismatch 3 web series review— Bits and pieces of comedy in a complete meal of entice.

Hoichoi Mismatch Season 3 web series story has seldom to do with real life solutions with the problems which are quite practical in life. Imtiyaz and Sukanya are married for quite some time. They had a love marriage with Sukanya as a painter, who specializes in drawing nudes of her male models. Imtiyaz loves Sukanya, but her style of painting has a grave effect on him. When the couple reaches the climax of their conjugal pleasure, Imtiyaz suddenly gets illusioned by a few nude male figures, and hence Sukanya remains dissatisfied. They seek help from a counsellor, who refers them to Milan Baba—a corrupt imposter who is involved in sex trafficking and smuggles porn videos of the couples who seek his help to get rid of their issues.

RK and Nibedita form another couple who are quite tired of each other. RK is a film director who chooses to stay loyal and committed to Nibedita despite their differences. The fact is not that he doesn’t love Nibedita. But again, during the climatic moments of sexual pleasure, Nibedita fails to moan—and RK requires that moan. Being a completely creative person, RK visualizes sex as a form of art. Mismatch 3 thus comes with bits and pieces of comedy in a complete meal of erotica.

Mismatch Season 3 Trailer

Mismatch Season 3 could have been quite a good project given its cast and crew. But it fails for dragging the same concept across seasons.

Script: The script of Hoichoi Mismatch: Season 3 web series is quite eventful. But the issue lies in the interiors of the script writing. Dialogue framing in some way substantiates the characterisation in a good way. But at most of the places, the words become too cheesy and absolutely don’t go with the characters. Do people these days with such creative as well as educational backgrounds have such shallow conversations and mindsets? —this question continues to come into the picture.

Acting: It is really a treat to the eyes to watch how Kanchan Mullick just slips into the skin of any character that comes his way. This man can be awfully funny, painfully emotional and absolutely malicious—he can play anything, anytime. Rajdeep Gupta does a great work through his expressions and reactions. Acting is mostly about reactions, and this man knows that quite well. Rachel White and Abhishek Singh actually made a great pair—with their somewhat unclear Bengali accent. But the one who was expected to do the best actually pulled things down. Payel Sarkar—the same woman who played Joyeeta in Ebar Shobor, the character of the sister of Swastika Mukherjee and lover of Abir Chatterjee, actually made Mismatch 3 a disappointment. Rachel and Singh’s broken accent is acceptable. But Payel’s unnatural Bengali accent gave her entire character a completely unnatural colour.

Music: There was seldom “music” in Mismatch 3. Yet the work of sound designer Soumya Chatterjee is commendable.

Cinematography, Special Effects & Editing: Prosenjit Chowdhury as the DOP and Md. Piyasuddin as the editor of Mismatch: Season 3 did a splendid job in putting together the visuals of this series with beauty at its best. The lighting setup was amazing, though it did not reach up to the level of Mismatch Season 1.

Direction: After an epic web series like “Tansener Tanpura”, Mismatch 3 was not at all expected from such a talented director like Soumik Chatterjee. It is not so easy to grab a person for sex on a one-day introduction. With the best of visual team and a handful of talented performers, what Soumik Chatterjee did not focus on was a practical approach and script with depth.
